My friend and his wife wrecked their car last week. They’re looking for a minivan to replace it because reasons.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
These are ones I’ve found on local Craigslists that seem to have some potential:

Any Opponions on those? Only problem is they’re all an hour-ish away. Nothing super local worth a damn. Doesn’t help that every car lot in this town is a thinly disguised scam artist grouping.

I’m a personal fan of the Odyssey, but I seem to remember that some of them ate transmissions, so that could be something to check into.

Slap your dumb friends right in the face and tell them to buy a wagon or an SUV. You’re a good friend. It’s your duty.

Run from the Ford. Run.
I’d go Mopar. I am biased though.

I rather like the 2003 Odesse.
The Caravan has been in an accident of some sort, as it has a pre facelift front bumper, and the ford just seems like a disaster waiting to happen.

Wagon maybe but SUV no.
Good luck finding a decent wagon though. And Minivans are (much) better at hauling families AND their stuff then wagons.

Of those, stay away from the crapavan and the freestar. I don’t like Honda but those are solid choices, just watch out for the transmission. However, obvious answer is obvious: https://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/5304911793…
There is also: https://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/5275593748…
Wagons are always better than minivans of course.

No love for the Toyota Sienna? It’s a good van, too.

Did you read the original post I made?
My friend’s wife has some mobility problems and getting her and their two-year-old son in and out of a van is a lot easier than a car.

Couldn't find any in their price range with less than 200,000 miles.

Forget the Freestar, they are a royal pain in the tuchas.
Consider a 2000-2004 Sienna and a Mazda MPV.
The MPV is a great option because it was largely a Mazda parts-bin special meaning parts are cheap and easy and the engine is stout.
I sold Siennas around this time and that 3.0L and Camry platform made a great combination that was very easy to keep on the road.
With the right miles and condition, they should fit the budget.
